Good Morning Colleagues-

This is a reminder of the May 1^st deadline for submitting your receipts or copies of checks for the company match to One Fund Boston.  As Kathleen stated in her email, “not only is this consistent with our mission and values, it’s an opportunity to respond to our own community’s need, as we have previously responded so generously to other emergencies.”

Once all receipts and checks are tallied, an email will go out with the matching results.

Dear Colleagues,

The tragic events at the Boston Marathon hit very close to home, and indeed Abt staff are connected to people whose lives have been forever changed by the bombing. 

To raise funds to help the families most affected by the explosions, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Menino have announced the formation of The One Fund Boston.

Joining many other Boston-area firms, Abt Associates will contribute $5,000 to the Fund.  The company will match staff contributions up to an additional $5,000.

Not only is this consistent with our mission and values, it’s an opportunity to respond to our own community’s need, as we have previously responded so generously to other emergencies.

To Contribute

Visit www.onefundboston.org and click the donate button.  Make a copy of your receipt and send it to Benny Pittman on the 8^th floor of the Bethesda office via pouch or mail  by May 1 if you wish your contribution to be matched by the company.  If you have already donated online or through other methods, please submit a copy of your receipt to Benny to receive the company match.  Benny can be reached at 301-634-1773. 

You can also write a check payable to One Fund Boston and send it to the address below.  Make a copy of the check and send it to Benny by May 1 to be counted toward the match.
