Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce that Abt Associates has acquired Australia-based JTA International, which will be a wholly owned subsidiary known as Abt JTA.

JTA is an international health and social sector consulting company that provides services to public and private sector clients in Australia and the Pacific. Similar to Abt, JTA’s projects span policy development, service delivery and training. Their clients include AusAID, the Global Fund, Australian public health departments and corporations. This acquisition is an example of how we are executing our five-year strategy to diversify our client base and work with more international clients. 

Since meeting Dr. Jane Thomason, the founder of JTA International, in the fall of 2011, I’ve been struck by the remarkable alignment of project portfolios, values and culture between JTA and Abt Associates. JTA practice areas include health, human resource management, and design and evaluation of development activities. They have the same commitment to high quality work and excellent client service. 

This partnership will help us achieve our mission while benefiting our company, our clients and staff in every division.   It offers opportunities for professional growth, expansion into additional countries and increased knowledge sharing.  There is a great deal of opportunity for all of us by combining the strengths of both companies—exciting times are ahead!
