Dear Colleagues,
Reputational Capital is excited to share with you the launch of the Peer-2-Peer Knowledge Sharing Network, aimed principally at Junior Staff to share key project specific skills and technical expertise that are of interest to their peers and employees at all levels in the organization.
This new Network will well complement existing Centers and Departments (The Methods Centers, The Technical Working Groups, Professional Development, IT, CorpComm, and more), providing resources, material, and support aimed specifically at our colleagues’ existing knowledge levels.
The Peer-2-Peer Knowledge Sharing Network was proposed by Herrissa Lamothe, an Associate Analyst, with support from her colleagues in the Social and Economic Policy Division (SEP). The Peer-2-Peer Knowledge Sharing Network’s vision is to “adopt a peer knowledge-sharing, professional development approach to combat loss of project specific and technical skills due to staff turnover (particularly at the junior staff level), and to expand learning opportunities for Abt staff.”
In addition to its peer sharing model, the Peer-2-Peer Knowledge Sharing Network will bring a number of innovations to Abt including:
1) Developing Junior Staff as presenters and sharers of information.
2) Hosting two types of sessions:
a. Learn sessions focusing on acquiring new and project relevant skills.
b. Apply sessions focusing on the application of these skills through hands on practice with relevant data.
3) Leveraging web-based platforms that encourage collaboration and information sharing across divisions and locations.
RepCap looks forward to your input as we begin this initiative. Please look forward to an invitation to join the first Peer-2-Peer Knowledge Sharing Network’s first Learn Session in the upcoming weeks.
Sincerely,
Your RepCap Team
