presents:
Digital Qualitative Research via Web and Mobile:
A practical introduction
Steve August, Presenter
The rise of social media and mobile web applications have given researchers access to human experiences on a scale and within a reach that is unprecedented. While this wondrous technology can provide access to human attitudes and behaviors globally, effective research methods and practice remain the keys to successful research studies. To take advantage of these online and mobile mediums, researchers need to adapt their practice and methods. This talk will offer a pragmatic introduction to conducting digital qualitative research via web and mobile smart phones and will introduce elements of study design, activity examples, and practical moderating tips. We hope that this workshop will spur innovative thinking about how digital qualitative research can add value, insight and nuance to current or future studies at Abt.
