Greetings.
I am pleased to announce that our search for a new DVP for the U.S. Health division has been successful. Christopher Spera, Ph.D will join Abt Associates officially on/about December 2nd. Chris serves currently as the Director of Research & Evaluation at the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS). Prior to his tenure at CNCS, Chris was at ICF International for 13 years, rising to Vice President and managing a research group in the areas of: health, education, substance abuse, veterans/military families and juvenile justice.
Chris is an experienced senior executive, a business builder and an applied social science researcher who combines business, government and academic experience. In addition to his duties at CNCS, Chris is an adjunct professor at the DC campus of Carnegie Mellon University. He brings client knowledge, energy and a natural alignment with our values and culture. Chris has his Ph.D in Human Development and Educational Psychology from the University of Maryland.
