Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday was a very hard day for all of us around the world as we watched the news of the explosions at the Boston Marathon.  It was a particularly sad day for Boston and those involved in the race as runners or spectators.

I am pleased to be able to report that, at this time,  our colleagues who were at the race or knew people who were there have all reported they are safe.  Our Human Resources team is reaching out to division and department staff to offer support as needed.

We all know that horrifying,  senseless acts of violence like these can be very unsettling.  Clarissa Peterson, John Ruyter and their HR team have asked me to remind you about several free services that are available to all of us as we encounter stressful situations at home or at work.  Below is a summary of our Employee Assistance Plan and online resources.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to HR if you have questions or need support. They are standing by to help.

All the best,

Kathleen
