What is happening?
IT will be renaming the IHD mailing lists as follows:
The current All IHD will change to All IHD US (all IHD staff in Bethesda, Cambridge, and telecommuters)
The current All IHD International will change to All IHD Field (all IHD staff in the field)
A third list will be created and called All IHD which will be a nested list of All IHD US and All IHD Field.
When is this happening?
This will occur over the weekend of Saturday, June 8 2013. The new lists will be ready for use starting Monday, June 10.
Why is this happening?
Previously there has been confusion about the IHD mailing lists because the individual list names are not intuitive. Changing the list names should minimize confusion and make it more user-friendly to send e-mails within IHD.
How will this affect me?
Using old email lists saved in your Auto Complete will result in an error message.
What do I need to do?
· To remove an old email list from your Auto Complete, start typing the address in the To… line of a new email. Once it appears, click the X to remove. Then click the TO button and select the Global Address Book from the pull down list. Start typing the name of the new list and select.
