Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to announce another global priority bid win.
ERD Wins Important New Multiple Award BPA worth up to $9.9M to Provide Social Science Support Services to NOAA
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Coastal Services Center (CSC) has awarded Abt Associates one of four awards on their Social Science Support Service BPA, with a potential value over five years of up to $9.9 million. Under the scope of this BPA contract, Abt will compete for task orders to support CSC’s core mission of helping local, state, and national organizations address complex coastal issues and thrive in the face of significant natural and economic risks. We will provide the high-quality social science expertise, strategic planning, and public participation and communication capabilities that CSC requires to accomplish this increasingly demanding mission.
This collaborative effort involved Abt SRBI and a broad range of external partners, resulting in a team that covers the full suite of professional disciplines needed to meet CSC’s broad and expanding support needs. This true team approach allows Abt to meet all of CSC’s potential requirements and compete effectively on future task orders.
According to Mike Conti, ERD Division Vice President, “This is an important win that establishes Abt’s presence with a new client. We are excited to have this opportunity to work with NOAA to meet the interesting and broad ranging challenges that coastal communities face.”
Congratulations to the entire proposal team led by Isabelle Morin. Other key staff who contributed to Abt’s winning proposal effort included a cadre of lead authors (Eloise Castillo, Mark Lorie, Susan Taylor, and Matt Ranson), reviewers (Michael Fisher, Gerry Stedge, Mike Conti, Andrew Stoeckle), editor (Diane Ferguson) and other contributors (Sujata Pal from Abt-SRBI) whose creative writing, compelling graphics, and constructive comments gave us a very strong proposal. Paulette Gillard was the lead pricer, and Matt Allain served as the GBDU Proposal Manager. Of course, as these efforts go, the proposal involved almost everyone in ERD in some shape or fashion... Kudos to everyone!
Best Regards,
Jay
