Dear Tamta Kobakhidze,

We are sorry to see you leave Abt Associates.
The purpose of this email is to provide you with some information related to your termination. Please read it carefully and follow up with your HR Manager if you have any questions. (Do not respond to this email).

Exit Interview

We ask each departing employee to complete an exit interview to discuss motivations for leaving and suggestions for making Abt Associates a better place to work. After leaving Abt, you will be contacted within 2-3 weeks by ExitRight, our third-party vendor, to complete either a one-page online questionnaire or a brief phone interview. Please keep in mind that your responses to the exit interview questions are confidential. Your input is valuable and greatly appreciated. In addition to the exit interview, you are welcome to meet with Human Resources prior to your departure. Should you wish to do so, please contact your HR Manager directly to schedule a meeting.


Checking Out

Before you leave you are required to return your office/desk keys, corporate credit cards, badges and any other Abt property (as applicable) to a member of our Office Services team or your division administrator. In addition, contact the ITSC and make arrangements to return company proprietary equipment assigned to you such as your laptop, desktop, key fobs and mobile devices (cell phones, iPhones, Droids or Blackberries, Tablets, etc.). Please note, If you have a personal mobile device with Abt email, stop by the ITSC to have it removed. Per company policy, any personal mobile devices with Abt email will be wiped by end of business of the specified termination date.


Financial Obligations

Please be sure that you have cleared any financial obligations, including balances on corporate credit cards and any outstanding tuition assistance.


Vacation

It is Abt's policy that departing employees should not 'ride out' unused vacation time. In other words, your departure date should be the last day that you intend to work.

Vacation time that has been earned and unused at the time of termination will be paid to you in the check following the final paycheck. Vacation time which you used but did not earn will be deducted from your final paycheck.


Change of Date

Departing employees sometimes find it necessary to change their planned last day. With supervisor approval, this is usually no problem, however please be sure to notify your HR Business Partner of any change in plans. Our systems are now set to terminate your access as of the date above, so we need to know about any changed dates.
