Dear Colleagues,

Wow! We made it through the conclusion of another federal fiscal year, and while there is much uncertainty with the ongoing budget battles in Congress and with the White House, there is still reason to celebrate—Abt had another successful season of winning lots of new, meaningful work that fulfills our mission to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of people worldwide.

Since April 1—the start of the company’s fiscal year—Abt Divisions, Abt SRBI, and Abt JTA collectively submitted more than 300 proposals. As many of you have endured extra-long hours due to increased capture planning efforts, worked extremely hard to balance proposal and project work, and made many concessions away from family and friends due to hectic proposal schedules, we want to thank you with a small token of our appreciation—FOOD!

Breakfast will be served Tuesday morning, October 1st, in designated areas located throughout Abt and Abt SRBI offices in Atlanta, Bethesda, Cambridge, Durham, New York, and Silver Spring. And, while Abt JTA does not experience the traditional U.S. proposal season, as the newest family member, they too will join in our companywide celebration, with breakfast served in the Brisbane office on Wednesday. Please take a moment to share a bite with your colleagues and congratulate each other on the season’s sweet successes.  In line with our commitment to sustainability, we have strived to make this company gathering green.  Please help us by bringing your own cups and mugs to enjoy this morning’s refreshments.

Thank you for your outstanding efforts on behalf of your clients and the company.  Hats off to everyone in GBDU for guiding our proposal teams in adhering to the Abt Business Development Process model in the pursuit of new business. It is clearly working, and the results are more responsive, more compliant, and more winning proposals!  Special thanks to the Creative Services team, which touched virtually every proposal that was submitted by Abt Divisions. These unsung heroes include:

Julie Sabol (Supervisor)

Missy Robinson

Stefanie Falzone

Katheleen Linton

Jan Nicholson

Charmayne Walker

Chaneka Scoby

Melissa O’Connor

Jeff Smith

Audrey Hanbury (temp)

Stay tuned in the weeks ahead for more information on our exciting new projects!

Best,

Jay
