On Wednesday, February 6, you received an email announcing General Security Awareness Training. We have some additional information to help you get started.
In many Abt offices, clicking on http://abt.securingthehuman.org will load the General Security Awareness Training. However, if the training does not load, please follow these steps:

Securing information is a critical part of our work. We must safeguard our own data and protect the data our clients entrust to us. IRM is pleased to announce “General Security Awareness (GSA) Training,” which is mandatory for all Abt staff around the world.
When must training be completed?
You will have four weeks to complete the GSA Training. It is available online beginning February 7 and continuing through March 7.
Is General Security Awareness Training required?
Yes, it is mandatory for all Abt staff. This is the first time GSA training is required for staff outside of the United States.
Will a charge code be provided?
Yes, time for completing GSA Training will be covered up to 1 hour. The charge code is provided at the end of the training.
What does GSA Training cover?
To support the challenging landscape of security threats, the IRM Business Working Group has worked together to provide training and assistance to our global Abt community. GSA Training includes:
· Data Destruction
· Specific Encryption Solutions
· Internet Use
· Software Downloads
· Methods for Moving Data
Are there options for languages other than English?
Yes, training and materials are also provided in Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. To access these languages, contact the IT Service Center to set your language preference.
How do I get started on GSA Training?
Just follow these simple steps to launch the training and access language options:
1. If you prefer to train in a language other than English, contact the IT Service Center to make a selection.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. Enter the following address: http://abt.securingthehuman.org
1. GSA Training is integrated with Single Sign On (SSO). If asked for login credentials, enter your Abt username and password. If you encounter any difficulty, contact the IT Service Center for assistance.
2. Begin your training with “Introduction” and view each module. The final module is labeled “End.”
