Dear colleagues,

Thanks for joining us yesterday for our fourth IHD Global Health staff meeting. Attending the meeting were staff from 21 countries via webcast in addition to folks from Cambridge, Durham, and Bethesda.

Highlights

•                    IHD now working in 56 countries

•                    Total IHD staff 1,393 (1,219 overseas and 174 US-based); 91 new hires in Q1

•                    Continued collaboration with Abt JTA: business development, hiring, quality assurance

•                    Chief of Party June 3-7, 2013 conference follow-up underway: business development training, call for reputational capital input; expansion of site tools

•                    Continued reputational capital roll-out: contribute to Abt’s Thought Leadership Database on AGI, send client kudos to Liz_Nugent@abtassoc.com; participate in Technical Working Groups, Communities of Excellence, Methods Centers (contact John_Palen@abtassociates.com for more info)

•                    Project success story: AIDSTAR II - Wajibika Project, Tanzania: US$13.5 project (2009-2013) focused on strengthening fiscal accountability of government health entities resulting in increase of $888,595 in resource allocations in one district.
