Dear Colleagues:

As many of you know, the International AIDS Society AIDS2014 conference will take place in Melbourne, Australia July 20-25, 2014. The theme of the conference is ‘Stepping Up the Pace.’

Abt expects to have a big presence at the conference and we wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of abstract deadlines. Abstract submissions open December 1, 2013 and close February 6, 2014. If you decide to submit an abstract, please make sure that you follow your project’s approval process and remember that it is expected that projects will pay for their staff participation at the event.

Conference organizers are holding a series of informational webinars ,two of which focus on submitting a successful abstract . These take place in early November and can be accessed at: http://www.aids2014.org/Default.aspx?pageId=648.

It is not yet clear if there will be central funds available for participants who have  oral presentations accepted. As this information becomes available, we will inform staff of the process for applying for this funding.
