NVivo Training Survey

The Qualitative Methods Center is assessing needs for future NVivo training at Abt. By filling out their short survey, you can help tailor the training offerings to what you need. It only takes 5 minutes to complete the survey and today is the last day! https://survey.abtassociates.com/s/QMC_training_needs_assessment/

Next NVivo Training is June 26th in Bethesda. Deadline to sign up is May 27th.

The Qualitative Methods Center is offering a day-long overview of, and analytical instruction in, the NVIVO 10 data analysis software package. Whether you are interested in exploring the tool for the first time, or interested in taking a refresher course, please sign up to join us.  The training will be conducted by a master trainer from the QSR software group, with input from the Qualitative Methods Center.

This software is developed for the analysis of open-ended data including focus group, interview, ethnographic, and observation transcripts. The training session will provide a demonstration of the software’s capabilities and features, how to set up a project in NVivo, and will walk through various steps in the analysis process.

*This will be the only formal QSR NVivo training in 2015. There will be a similar Cambridge-based training in Spring, 2016.

Prerequisites:

To get the most out of this training, the Qualitative Center recommends that staff participating in the workshop have immediate open-ended and qualitative analysis needs. The training costs will be covered; however, participants will need to use a project or divisional charge code to cover their time in the course. All participants should plan to attend the training in person.

To Enroll:

To enroll in the class, please email Phyllis Guiliano at Phyllis_Guiliano@Abtassoc.com before Tuesday, May 26th.  Space is limited, so enroll soon! In your email please include the following information:

·         Division and job title

·         Brief description of the project(s) for which you plan to use the NVivo software

·         Whether you currently have access to NVivo, NVivo Server (or both) on your computer (we will work with all trainees to make sure you have access to what you need for the training).
