Greetings, Colleagues.

It is my pleasure to announce the selection of our new Director of the Global Business Development Unit (GBDU). Katie Joyce, currently Senior Associate and Business Development Leader at Booz Allen Hamilton, accepted our offer and will be starting with us in late October.

Katie has spent her career in business development, working for both global and small companies that span a diverse set of sectors and clients, including federal agencies and private firms.  Prior to accepting our offer, Katie was the senior business development leader for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Community and Economic Development Group, responsible for capture efforts and client development activities for numerous federal agencies, including USDA, HUD, HHS, Labor, Commerce, Education, Treasury and Justice. Katie has also been the Lead Instructor for the business growth and development training course for Booz staff worldwide.

Previously she served as principal, Business Development & Operations for ICF International, leading all business development activities for the Family Self Sufficiency unit within the Community and Social Programs division.  Among her responsibilities there were developing knowledge management systems, developing and delivering proposal training and creating strategic partnerships.

Katie was chosen from a strong candidate pool, including internal candidates. She was the overwhelming preference of my august, DVP-stocked interview panel. I am convinced she is the right choice to lead the GBDU and contribute to the improvement of our BD process. I think you will enjoy meeting her and working with her following her start late next month.
