More professional development resources available—anytime, anywhere. To support our talent management strategy and encourage career development at Abt, we are introducing a new eLearning resource available to Abt staff globally. It is the expansion of a great resource familiar to many of you, EBSCO. The expanded eLibrary offers more than 350 ebooks and 2,400 business book summaries in core management areas, including:
The Leadership and Strategic Management Library is accessed online—making it ideal for learning on the go. Where to Start – There are two ways to access the EBSCO elibrary. 1. By clicking on the “Leadership and Strategic Management Library” link located on the Learning tile in ATLAS. 2. On the “Leadership and Strategic Management Library” page in AGI. Our aim is to help you be more effective in your current role and to help you build towards your next one. This resource is optional so no charge time is provided. Here is How it Works – Search for the book/summary you are interested in by either typing in the name of the book in the search bar or by scanning through the available titles in each category. Book summaries can be accessed at any time by all staff members and are available for viewing in your browser, downloading, and printing. eBooks are accessible in two ways: 1) accessing and reading them directly in your browser, or 2) downloading them and reading them offline, either on your computer or on a mobile device. To download books, you must have Adobe Digital Editions, a free downloadable program, installed on your computer or mobile device. This program is already available on your computer and has been tested and approved for use on all Abt computers. A guide on how to access this software on your computer is attached. Most of the ebooks are available to only one person at a time. Books can be “checked out” for a maximum of three weeks. At the end of this time, a book is automatically “returned.” If you are on the waitlist, you will be notified that the title you requested is available to view or download in the portal. For personal assistance, the HR Service Center Team is ready to help. Contact them via: Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm ET For more information or to make suggestions of titles to add, contact the Professional Development Team: Nancy Boenecke, Director, Professional Development Kristina Dostaliyeva, Manager, Professional Development Ryan LeCloux, Coordinator, Professional Development This email communication was sent BCC to All Staff Abt. | ||||||||||
