Dear John Osika,

Many greetings from Ethiopia!

If the deadline you put below is real; I don’t think it is realistic to write an abstract in 08 days. Unless you did a some kind of communication in the past which I am not aware?

Best,

Subject: HIV/AIDS - ICASA - Dec 7-11 - South Africa - Abstract Submission Deadline June 20
Importance: High

Dear All Abt IHD,

This year’s International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) is being held in Cape Town, South Africa from December 7-11.

The deadline for abstract submissions is Thursday June 20. Abstracts must be in English or French. There are 5 tracks for submission:

Track A: Basic Science

Track B: Clinical Science, Treatment and Care

Track C: Epidemiology and Prevention Science

Track D: Social Science, Human Rights and Political Science

Track E: Health Systems, Economics and Implementation Science

All of the details can be found on the ICASA website: http://www.icasa2013southafrica.org/

The HIV/AIDS Technical Working Group has funding to support a few participants.  If you would like to apply for funding through the HIV/AIDS TWG please submit your completed abstract to John Osika (John_Osika@abtassoc.com) and Katherine Brouhard (Katherine_Brouhard@abtassoc.com) by CoB Monday June 17 for consideration. Note that each author will be responsible for actually submitting the abstract by the June 20th deadline.

If you are going to submit an abstract through your project it does not need to be reviewed by the HIV/AIDS TWG but please do send it to us for us to have in the TWG records. The HIV/AIDS TWG is considering options now for how to represent Abt as a whole during the conference and we want to make sure we capture everyone’s good work.

Best Regards,

John.
