The lists (all IHD TWG HIV-AIDS, and all IHD COE HIV) are both only IHD except for Liza Solomon who is on the TWG list.

We actually do not have a list of Abt IAS members. We emailed the HIV TWG Group and HIV COE Group.
So we could start there.

We sent out a message before looking for IAS members from Abt to get the nominations. Katherine collected this I think. We can follow up from there.

Dear Diana Silimperi,
The Governing Council (GC) of the International AIDS Society (IAS) provides the structure for membership oversight of the organization, and plays a key role in articulating your interests and concerns with national programmes, international funders and implementers of AIDS care, research and education activities worldwide. The IAS GC is involved in the two conferences organized by the IAS, and promotes evidence-based policies and full engagement in civil society for people living with HIV. As your regional representatives in region United States and Canada, we are writing to you today to solicit your involvement in the upcoming election for two representatives to fill the seats that will become vacant this year.
Please find some useful information below to prepare you for the voting that will begin next week.
Background
IAS GC Elections occur every two years in the year of the International AIDS Conference. The IAS GC consists of 20 elected members (four from each of the five IAS regions) and three officers (the President, President-Elect and Treasurer), as well as two non-voting members (the Immediate Past President and the Executive Director). In order to ensure geographical representation from across the regions, only one member per country can be elected to the IAS GC (except for the United States and Canada region, where both countries should be represented). In addition, there should be at least one IAS GC member representing Eastern Europe, one representing non-Anglophone Africa and one representing the Caribbean.
Candidates in the 2014 IAS GC Elections
The candidates that you will be able to vote for are: *Kenneth Mayer, United States (current GC member up for re-election for a 2nd term); *Adaora Adimora, United States; *Bruce Agins, United States; *Moisés Agosto-Rosario, United States; *Michel Alary, Canada; *Yvette Calderon, United States; *Carlos del Rio, United States; *Michael Horberg, United States; *Thomas Kerr, Canada; *Marsha Martin, United States; *John Stephen Osika, United States; *Liza Solomon, United States; *Evelyn Tomaszewski, United States; *Suzanna Willard, United States; *Benjamin Young, United States.
Please do not respond to this message to cast your vote.
You will receive an email on Wednesday, 9 April, from onlinevoting@electoralreform.co.uk (please make sure to add this email address to your Safe Senders List to prevent the message from going to your junk email folder). The message will include a link to the online voting page which will contain detailed information about the candidates. The voting page will remain open until 23:59 (CEST) on Wednesday, 30 April. Votes may only be submitted through the voting page. Votes sent by email, post, fax etc. will not be considered.
Remaining regional representatives on the IAS GC
The following IAS GC members are already representing your region and will remain on the IAS GC until the end of their terms: *Judith Auerbach, United States (2012-2016); *Marina Klein, Canada (2012-2016).
Voting system in the 2014 IAS GC Elections
The electoral system used in the voting phase of the 2014 IAS GC Elections is the Single Transferable Vote (STV), in which voters are asked to rank the candidates in order of preference. You can, if you wish, show support for only one candidate. However, your favourite candidate will not be disadvantaged if you list other preferences, and the more candidates for whom you do show preferences, the more likely your vote will influence the outcome of the elections.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Smith, United States - Regional Representative on the IAS Executive Committee
