Greetings.

As of today, December 23, all Abt staff scheduled for evacuation from South Sudan have successfully completed their exit from the country.  While the situation appears to be deteriorating in some parts of the country, Juba has had some relative calm.

Many will have heard the report over the weekend of an evacuation operation in Bor, South Sudan which had to be aborted when the airplanes came under fire from rebel forces.  No Abt staff were involved in that incident.

We remain in contact with our South Sudanese staff and have received no personal alarming reports to date.  Some of those staff have used vacation leave to depart for Uganda and Kenya.  We wish everyone peace and goodwill.

Best regards,

Jay
