Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to announce another global priority bid win.
USH Wins CDC New Multiple Award BPA with a $558M Ceiling and a $4.4M Task Order to Conduct the Health Care Worker and Pregnant Women Influenza Survey
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has awarded Abt Associates one of nine awards on their BPA contract, Monitoring and Evaluating the Nation’s Public Health and Prevention Programs, with a potential value over five years of up to $558 million.
Under the scope of this contract, Abt will compete for task orders to conduct surveys fit for purpose to support public health programs, conduct operational methods studies, provide technical assistance on survey development methods, and assess, develop, or support respondent panels.
We are happy to announce that as part of this award, CDC chose the Abt Team, in collaboration with Abt SRBI and WebMD, to continue our work on the Influenza Vaccine Monitoring Surveys for Health Care Workers and Pregnant Women, which we’ve been performing for three and four years, respectively. This $4.4M contract will use opt-in Internet panels to rapidly gather timely data, allowing CDC to assess vaccination coverage and vaccination-related knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs at two time points during each flu season.
According to Chris Spera, USH Division Vice President, “this new multiple award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) will allow our team to work in partnership with CDC on some of the most pressing public health challenges of today. Furthermore, USH and Abt SRBI’s successful re-compete task order win on the Health Care Worker and Pregnant Women Influenza Survey indicates CDC has a high level of confidence in our team.”
The Abt capture lead was Sarah Ball, the technical team included Sarah Ball, Sara Donahue and Danielle Hunt (technical leads for the BPA and task orders), Matt Allain (GBDU proposal manager), Eddie Chen and Courtney Long (FCAs), and additional writers/contributors included SRBI’s Heather Hammer, Dianne Rucinski, Charles DiSogra, and John Sokolowski.
Best Regards,
Jay
