To All My International Colleagues,

       On 2 May we will bid a fond farewell to Becca Gomby, our Security and Threat Analyst, who has been a tireless and dedicated member of our Global Security Team for the past two and a half years.  We have all benefited from her excellent written reports and briefings.  Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting and hosting her during visits to our field offices and programs.  Becca is leaving Abt to return to graduate school at the University of Tel Aviv pursuing International Security Studies.  We wish her every success in all her future endeavors.

       Becca is being replaced by a colleague from Helios Global, Sarah Dedic.  We are indeed fortunate to be able to welcome someone with Sarah’s background and expertise.  She has over 14-years of experience in a variety of international and domestic positions involving the development of security infrastructure and threat analysis.  This includes specialized reporting in terrorism and organized crime in Europe and Africa, the support of FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security conducting critical infrastructure vulnerability assessments, the development of preparedness and response plans for Active Shooter and multiple casualty events, and security analysis for NATO’s Stabilization Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.  Sarah has also worked as a Project Manager in both domestic and international Holocaust Era restitution programs.  She speaks French and has a working knowledge of Bosnian/Serbian.  Sarah graduated from University of Milwaukee and has studied at both the University of Liege and Sint Lucas Kunst Academie in Belgium.
