Following our meeting yesterday, May 21, please find attached a letter providing the details and rationale of our assistance programme in favor of the most vulnerable elderly in Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia related to the COVID-19 crisis, as well as our specific request for information from the Georgian Social Services Agency, with the purpose of making sure no potential beneficiary of this vital humanitarian assistance is left out.

As well, in light of yesterday’s discussions, please do not hesitate to approach me if you have any suggestion or proposal as to how the ICRC can best respond to those most in need, acting as a neutral humanitarian intermediary. We, in turn, will proactively communicate with you to seek any support that will enable us to better respond to the needs of the population, in line with our mandate. Once again, rest assured that the content of our communications as well as any information shared will remain strictly confidential.
