The World Social Security Forum (WSSF) is just 50 days away, and already has an impressive range of speakers. In addition to numerous speakers from ISSA members, the event has confirmed speakers from organizations such as: the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Bank and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). Please check the ISSA website for all the latest updates on the WSSF taking place in Brussels, Belgium, 14‑18 October 2019.

With over 500 people already registered, the ISSA encourages members to register now for the WSSF. It is particularly important to check the visa requirements, and if a visa is required, to start the process as early as possible. Please also book your accommodation as the room allocation at preferential rates will expire on the 2^nd September 2019 and prices may rise the longer you wait.

The ISSA has been pleased with the response to the #protectingyou2019 campaign. All ISSA member institutions are invited to share stories about how social security protects people in a world marked by rapid technological, demographic and economic change, by using the hashtag: #protectingyou2019

The WSSF will see the launch of the new ISSA guidelines on Error, Evasion and Fraud in Social Security Systems. These much anticipated new guidelines have been the work of ISSA members through the technical Commission on Contribution, Collection and Compliance. They will be launched on the Wednesday 16^th October at the WSSF.
