As discussed and agreed on our last Skype meeting on 29 of March, please find attached draft document for coding guidelines.

This is a framework you can use to discuss the content of the coding guideline. The actions you are recommneded to take are marked with red and bold.

To facilitate the work with this document, we propose another Skype call next Tuesday (16 of April) at 9:30 Tbilisi time (8:30 Tallinn/Hesinki) when we can discuss your comments and questions on that paper. In addition, we are happy to hear of the progress with implementation of the batch grouper, data preparation, and other issues we discusses last time (see below, next steps)

 

Please let us know if this time for Skype call is ok with DRG WG.

Thanks everyone attending the call today.

Here is the summary of net steps we discussed and agreed on:

·         Data quality methodology paper can be finalized. Final version will be shared with DRG WG asap

·         SSA to create the list of procedures and diagnosis needed for the data quality controls.

·         SSA IT specialist to implement the changes needed for data quality controls

·         Kristiina to provide framework for coding guideline by mid April

·         Batch grouper has been implemented within SSA electronic system already and will be used for grouping

·         SSA to start to prepare the data for grouping (data from 2018)  and share with Triin and Kristiina for double check

·         SSA to group the data (retrospective grouping)

·         SSA to conduct analysis and discuss and share the results for further comments if needed

·         In parallel, IT specialist work with integration of grouper into SSA system to be able to group the cases online

·         Piloting can start only when the grouping results are available

·         Roadmap for piloting will be developed after grouping and data analysis.

·         DRG implementation plan will be revised after grouping and data analysis

·         Job descriptions will be send within one week.

 

Next Skype is scheduled on 16 April (need to be confirmed ca one week before the call. Meanwhile communication via email or ad hoc Skype call.
